David Neau
Reactor Specialist & Founder
David Neau has worked in the nuclear power industry since 1990, completing more than 300 refueling and maintenance outages throughout the United States and internationally. Over the course of his career, He has gained extensive hands-on, technical, supervisory, and planning experience across virtually every aspect of BWR refueling floor and reactor maintenance operations.
His experience includes fuel movement, reactor disassembly and reassembly, in-core monitor replacement, cell maintenance, main steam line plug installation, jet pump plug installation, reactor modifications, IVVI inspection, underwater tooling and camera systems, and refueling floor operations. He has operated refuel bridges and auxiliary bridges, worked from 360° reactor platforms, and performed IVVI work as a technician as well as in Level II and Level III capacities.
He has also served as a Technical Director for refueling floor operations, providing technical direction and field support during critical outage activities. Throughout his career, he has developed solutions to complex field challenges, designed and implemented specialized tooling and work methods, written procedures, and developed and coordinated hundreds of outage schedule activities.
More than three decades in the field has given David an understanding not only of how nuclear maintenance work is planned, but how it is actually executed under real outage conditions. That experience has shaped the approach to how we solve problems: simplify the work, properly prepare the people and equipment, reduce unnecessary exposure, and give the field a solution that works when it matters.
David's goal is to help advance and streamline the nuclear industry through safer, more efficient, and better-organized work practices. By combining practical field experience with innovative tooling, thoughtful planning, and disciplined execution, He strives to reduce personnel dose, shorten critical-path outage time, improve reliability, and—above all—protect the people performing the work.

Tyler Neau brings a diverse background in business ownership, large-scale construction project management, and government aircraft maintenance to HydroActive Tooling. Throughout his career, he has built and operated multiple businesses, managed complex projects, and developed a strong ability to plan, forecast, and position operations for long-term success.
His experience in highly demanding and safety-driven environments has shaped his commitment to quality, accountability, safety, and attention to detail. From managing large construction projects to maintaining government aircraft, Tyler has built his career around the understanding that the quality of the work matters—and that doing a job right should never be compromised.
Tyler's connection to the nuclear industry began at a young age, with early exposure to nuclear training facilities, tooling, outage operations, and the specialized demands of the industry. Combined with the knowledge and leadership skills gained throughout his own career, this foundation has given him a unique perspective on how HydroActive Tooling can continue to improve, innovate, and serve the nuclear industry.
As Owner of HydroActive Tooling, Tyler is focused on building a company known not simply for the products it provides, but for the quality, reliability, and service behind them.
